Sydney, Australia's Sydney Opera House is easily the most famous Opera house in the world. It has been a center for art, performances and many leisure activities. Like the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France, the Sydney Opera House is a symbol of Sydney throughout the world. To some, the spherical-sectioned shells are reminiscent of the flotilla of sailboats commonly cruising there. It is a major tourist attraction even though most visitors have little interest in attending performances.

The Opera House is home to libraries, picture theaters, restaurants, cafes, concert halls and art museums.
