Little Rock is the captial and largest city in Arkansas. The city population had 193,524 people in the 2010 census. The metropolitan rea had 699,757 people in 2010. The Little Rock metropolitan area is also included in the Little Rock, N. Little Rock, Pine Bluff Combined Statistical area which had a population of 877,091 people in 2010 according to the U.S. census bureau.
Destinations in Little Rock include the state capitol, the River Market district, which is an entertainment locale, in the downtown area and the Clinton Presidential Library on the edge of downtown. Other sites include the McArthur Museum and the Arkansas Arts Center.
Across the river in North Little Rock are the U.S.S. Razorback submarine and the Old Mill, which was used in the opening scenes of the movie 'Gone with the Wind.'
Little Rock was named 22nd out of 361 metropolitan areas as best place for business by Forbes magazine in 2005.
