Embrun is a community of 11,514[1] in Ontario, Canada. Embrun is named after the city of Embrun in the Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur region of France. Embrun has now outgrown its sister[2]. Embrun is one of the major communities in the Montreal-Ottawa Corridor.
It was a city between 1926 and 1934 but because of population decline it was reabsorbed into Russell Township and remains as the administrative centre.
